One prerequisite for children’s educational success is a solid foundation, built upon knowing one’s inherent worth, loving nature, and inter-connectedness. Mindful Living’s Secret Superpowers: Strong Foundations for SEL Competencies curriculum helps children between 3 and 8 years of age to do just that through mindful loving-kindness. This 6-week supplemental curriculum is suited for any sized group: whole school, small groups such as home school, pre-school, school counselor group, daycare, or a single family. The 45-minute teacher/parent training and six 20-minute lessons are delivered through video, written discussion guides, and activities.

The Secret Superpowers: Strong Foundations for SEL Competencies curriculum incorporates essential lessons from Micki Fine’s heartfelt children's book, May All People and Pigs Be Happy. In this charming picture book, young Claire learns how to bring mindful loving-kindness to everyday encounters from Pigalina, her stuffed but very alive pig. Claire learns to offer simple, loving wishes to herself first and then to people she encounters: her parents, a stranger, and even her friend who had just been unkind. Eventually, she spreads loving wishes to the whole world.
