Some of the benefits of loving-kindness meditation are:
Greater self-compassion
Improved capacity to handle stress and anxiety
Decreased physical pain
Enriched social connections.
Loving-kindness meditation is practiced by repeating a series of well-wishes during a period of quiet sitting or walking. You can also offer well-wishes to yourself or others at any time, especially when difficulty arises. This positive antidote can allow for more productive action.
The group experience in this class can:
Boost your willingness to keep meditating,
Provide a feeling of safety and refuge - resting in the understanding and kindness of others
Enhance a sense of community, inclusion, belonging, and positive energy
