An 8-week MBSR course providing up to 20 hours of CEU credits including 3 hours of ethics credit for LPCs, LMFTs & LCSWs.
This course consists of attending the 8-week MBSR course for the general public, emailed weekly assignments specifically adapted for mental health professionals and a day-long silent retreat called the Day of Mindfulness. This starting point will enable you to develop your own practice which is necessary to skillfully adapt mindfulness into working with clients and also, to learn about how others adapt to mindfulness practice. MBSR teaches more than can be quickly described. In essence, we'll explore and practice formal mindfulness meditation as well as making mindfulness an integral part of your life. Through the practice you can open to your life as it is and learn to hold it in compassion, joy and equanimity.
