Loving-kindness means great and boundless friendliness.
Loving-kindness meditation is likened to watering seeds in a garden, in this case, the seeds of loving-kindness. It is practiced by offering blessings and well-wishes to yourself and then others. When you water the seeds of loving-kindness that are already inside you, you encourage your inner loveliness to grow and blossom. As you open to your true nature of love, you can accept yourself exactly as you are, imperfections and all. This allows you more genuinely to open to the inner loveliness of others and accept them too.
Our Loving-Kindness Group is designed for graduates of our MBSR courses or other mindfulness training. We will meet for six sessions conducted by Micki Fine, M.Ed., L.P.C., founder of Mindful Living, certified mindfulness meditation instructor and licensed counselor in Houston, Texas and will be held from 1:30 -3:30 p.m. The cost for the group is $200.
