Equanimity

Greeting the moment wholeheartedly

In the mountain, stillness surges up to explore its own height
In the lake, movement stands still to contemplate its own depth.
— Rabindranath Tagore

Equanimity describes the quality of kind, steady calmness, even in great difficulty. Equanimity helps us greet each moment, whether pleasant or unpleasant, wholeheartedly with an open, responsive heart. We can become like deeply rooted trees with flexible branches, able to weather the storms of life without being uprooted or snapped in two.

In this 6-week course, we’ll explore equanimity (what it is and isn’t) and practice mindfulness and equanimity meditations. We’ll learn to soften into our experience and cultivate the loving awareness that enables us to flow with life as it is and choose wise, healthy responses to the moment.

Join us to foster softening into the moment and learn many loving ways to support your well-being.
