Our Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Courses (MBSR) are highly participatory and practical, and are modeled after the distinguished work of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. We offer a variety of such courses designed for the general public, for mental health professionals and for medical professionals.
In each course, students can expect:
Guided instruction in, and practice and discussion of several mindfulness meditations, including gentle mindful yoga
Group dialogue and discussions aimed at enhancing awareness in everyday life, both personal and professional
Weekly emailed assignments
Four home-practice CDs
Mindfulness
is best understood through ones own experience of practice. To benefit, participants are
asked to commit themselves to practicing mindfulness meditation from 45
to 60 minutes per day. The community created in the course supports participants in this commitment, helping to to establish a grounded, consistent mindfulness practice in their lives.
